A WWE star has been announced for an upcoming match in AAA next week after WWE’s acquisition of the promotion.
WWE announced that they had purchased Mexican lucha libre promotion AAA back at WrestleMania 41 night one, with a number of crossovers taking place since.
WWE held it’s first WWE x AAA Worlds Collide event on June 7, which was headlined by a AAA Mega Championship match between El Hijo del Vikingo and Chad Gable.
A number of WWE stars have appeared on AAA shows since, including SmackDown’s Los Garza reigning as the current AAA Tag Team Champions, and NXT’s Lola Vice competing for the promotion last week.
Now, another WWE star has been announced, with AAA today confirming that El Grande Americano will be making his debut for the company on July 25.
Ludwig Kaiser has taken up the mantle of El Grande Americano following Chad Gable’s injury, with him wrestling his first match as the character on last week’s episode of Raw, where he defeated Dragon Lee.
