WWE Star Uses Banned Move, Randy Orton Hospitalized

Randy Orton was taken away in an ambulance after a WWE star used a banned move on him during tonight’s episode of SmackDown.

Orton was supposed to have a match against Kevin Owens at this past Saturday’s Crown Jewel premium live event.

However, the match never officially began as they instead brawled around the arena.

Tonight, Orton wanted retribution and called Owens out to the ring.

This of course prompted another brawl, but Owens took things further tonight and spiked Orton in the ring with a piledriver.

Michael Cole screamed “There’s a reason that damn move is banned”, something that was re-emphasized on commentary multiple times.

Randy Orton was then stretchered out of the arena and driven away in an ambulance with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes by his side.

Just for clarity, it was evident that the injury was a storyline playing into Orton’s very serious neck and back issues that kept him out of action for 18 months before he returned about a year ago, but if there are any further updates we’ll keep you posted.
