WWE Star Brand Switch Confirmed

WWE Star Brand Switch Confirmed WWE

Following the July 9 edition of WWE NXT, WWE star Cedric Alexander has confirmed his move over to the NXT brand.

On the July 9 episode of WWE NXT, former Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander appeared in a backstage segment with NXT GM Ava that was set up by Stevie Turner. Turner and Robert Stone have been vying for the favor of Ava over the past few weeks.

During the segment, Alexander announced that he is officially joining the NXT brand. Stone then introduced and inserted Alexander’s tag team partner Ashante “Thee” Adonis into a meeting with Ava of their own.

The duo of Alexander and Adonis have been part of the SmackDown brand and began teaming in dark matches during SmackDown TV tapings in December 2023.

Vignettes for the tag team started to air on WWE’s digital platforms in February, but Alexander and Adonis never wrestled as a tandem on WWE TV following the segments.

Cedric Alexander has sporadically been used as an enhancement talent in 2024 on the SmackDown as part of the WWE Speed show on Twitter/X.

WrestleTalk will provide any further updates on Cedric Alexander and Ashante “Thee” Adonis on the WWE NXT brand when they become available.
