A WWE star has broken an incredible record during a history making match tonight at the premium live event, NXT Deadline.
By capturing the NXT Tag Team Championships alongside his New Day brother Xavier Woods, WWE star Kofi Kingston has broken an incredible record.
Kingston is now a 15 time tag team champion, more times than anyone else in the history of the WWE!
With Kofi Kingston having a staggering 15 title reigns, he also has a variety of partners that you may or may not recall!
While the majority of the title reigns have been partnered with one of the two other members of the New Day (either Xavier Woods or Big E) there are a few outliers as well.
Did you recall that Kofi Kingston actually also was tag team champs with the likes of R-Truth and Evan Bourne as co-Raw tag team champs.
Also notable, the time he was WWE World Tag Team Champions with CM Punk.
Reacting to New Day’s historic win, the third member of their stable, Big E.
Taking to Twitter, Big E wrote:
“What an absurdly talented pair of partners! I won the wrestling lottery when I got to team with these two. Massive congrats, my brothers! Love y’all to death.”
