WWE Star Calls Himself: ‘One Of The Most Unique Intercontinental Champions’

It doesn’t take much of an argument to acknowledge that Jeff Hardy is one of the most unique WWE stars ever. The Charismatic Enigma has never been shy about expressing himself in his own way. Now, he has said he believes he is one of the most unique Intercontinental Champions of all time.

Hardy recently spoke with Sport360 where he talked about being Intercontinental Champion. He also spoke of Randy Savage being one of the reasons he and Matt Hardy got into wrestling. Here is the full quote:

“I see myself as one of the most unique Intercontinental champions of all time. The Macho Man Randy Savage was one of the reasons my brother and I started watching wrestling. There are so many great champions who have held this title, and for me to have it again gives me great confidence that before all is said on done for my career I might still be WWE Champion, or better still Universal Champion, something I have never held before.”

Hardy won the Intercontinental Championship from AJ Styles on the August 21 edition of SmackDown. While he defended it the following week against Shinsuke Nakamura, Sami Zayn emerged to call himself the true champion. Zayn, of course, went home at the start of the pandemic with the title in hand. It would appear that they are building to a match between Hardy and Zayn.
