A WWE star has called out a rival for not “respecting the business” after suffering a rapid-fire loss on NXT.

The December 30 episode of WWE NXT saw Tavion Heights become the number one contender for Jasper Troy’s Men’s WWE Speed Championship when he defeated Lexis King within ten seconds of their match beginning.

The result, unsurprisingly, did not go down too well with King, with WWE cameras capturing his immediate reaction and posting it to social media.

Calling out Heights for not following “gentleman rules”, King said:

“Bull crap, I clearly wasn’t ready. Who does this Tavion guy think he is? He’s clearly not a gentleman. Because gentleman rules we always lock up at the beginning of a pro wrestling match.

“That was unfair, it was uncalled for and clearly he doesn’t know what he’s doing.”

In reaction to the clip on Twitter, King would comment further, calling out Heights for his lack of respect for the business:

I was so dumbfounded by his actions I forgot to mention how RECKLESS and DANGEROUS they were…

Why would a storied vet such as myself want to work with an overzealous ROOKIE who doesn’t respect the business?!?

Try that s**t again @TavionHeights and I’ll make sure you never step foot in a WWE ring ever again!!!

It has not yet been confirmed when Heights will challenge Troy for the title, with WWE NXT set to host its annual New Year’s Evil event tomorrow night (January 6).
