WWE Star To Challenge For Heavyweight Title In Another Company

A WWE star is set to challenge for another company’s heavyweight championship at an event this Saturday.

On Saturday, September 13, Chaotic Wrestling will celebrate their 25 year anniversary with a special event at Lowell Collegiate Charter School in Lowell, MA.

Taking to Twitter ahead of the event, Chaotic Wrestling announced that former WWE star Ivar will be making his return to the promotion at the show.

Ivar’s appearance will not just be a cameo however, as the promotion confirmed that the Raw star will be challenging for the Chaotic Wrestling Heavyweight Title in the main event of the show, a title he has previously held three times in his career.

Ivar will face the winner of the match between MORTAR and Richard Holliday at Chaotic Wrestling’s Summer Chaos event, which takes place on Friday, September 12, the night before the 25 year anniversary show.

Chaotic Wrestling’s announcement reads as follows:

3x Chaotic heavyweight champion and current WWE Superstar Ivar makes his long-awaited in-ring return this Saturday!

This will be his first Chaotic match since January of 2018. Before heading to WWE, Ivar said, “The world is my battlefield.” Since then, he’s battled across the globe, held the most prestigious tag team titles in wrestling, and made his mark on the biggest stage in the world. And now he’s coming home!

MAIN EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT: Ivar will challenge for the Chaotic Heavyweight Championship! He will face either MORTAR or Richard Holliday, depending on the outcome of the title match the night before at Summer Chaos.

Ivar competed in Chaotic Wrestling for almost two decades, with the promotion being where he cut his teeth in the industry after making his debut in 2002.

As well as winning the CW Heavyweight Title three times he also won the promotion’s tag team titles on two occasions, with his last match for CW being at their Pandemonium event in January 2018.
