A WWE star is set for a championship match in an outside company after recently competing outside the company over WrestleMania week.

Former SmackDown Women’s Champion Natalya re-signed with WWE last year, and she has begun taking more matches outside of the company amid her recent absence from television.

Natalya was in action at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XIII over WrestleMania 41 week, where she defeated Miyu Yamashita, under the name Nattie Neidhart.

As well as Bloodsport, Natalya was announced for the upcoming NWA Crockett Cup on May 17, and it has now been announced that Natalya will be in championship action on the show.

Taking to Twitter, the NWA announced that Natalya would challenge NWA Women’s World Champion Kenzie Paige for the gold at the show in Philadelphia.

They tweeted:

CEO William Patrick Corgan (@Billy) has made the call: at Crockett Cup 2025 in Philadelphia, it will be NWA Women’s World Champion Kenzie Paige (@KenziePaige_1) vs WWE (@WWE) Superstar Natalya (@NatbyNature) for the Burke!

‘It’s always our distinct honor to host this modern version of the Crockett Cup, but holding the event in this great and historic building in Philadelphia, with the addition of a WWE Superstar such as Natalya, in an NWA title match no less, shows how far we have come.’ – William Patrick Corgan, NWA President

Paige is approaching two years as the NWA Women’s World Champion, with her defeating Kamille to win the title back in August 2023.
