WWE Star Undergoes Character Change

WWE Star Undergoes Character Change WWE

A veteran WWE star has undergone a character transformation ahead of their upcoming match in another company.

Former SmackDown Women’s Champion Natalya re-signed with WWE last year, but has still found it difficult to get time on TV in recent months.

Arguably her biggest source of success of late came when she wrestled Miyu Yamashita at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport during WrestleMania week.

She specifically wrestled under the name Nattie Neidhart and showed off a very different side of herself than what we see on WWE TV – an aggressive, badass fighter who even made her entrance to Rage Against The Machine.

We haven’t yet seen this new version of Neidhart on WWE TV, but she has a match coming up this week against Kenzie Paige at the NWA Crockett Cup.

Natalya will once again be adopting her ‘Nattie Neidhart’ side for this match, as she posted a video on Twitter that saw her literally strip away her WWE presentation.

During the video – which started with her in WWE attire and ended with her in more legit looking fight-wear – she said:

“I am not this. I made this, I built this, I did this, to survive. But underneath, there’s a part of me that craves violence. The side that loves to leave behind the predictability and the security of my life.

“You see, I was born fighting, Kenzie. Somewhere along the way, I was domesticated. And that’s why my life doesn’t fit right now.

“Some people get fast cars or drugs or a piece on the side, just to feel alive. But me, I just need the taste of blood in my mouth, the feeling of bruises underneath my clothes, and the rush of ‘kill or be killed’.

“I don’t need to get something else to feel alive, Kenzie. I need to be someone else – someone who is going to come to your house and beat your ass. And smile while doing it.”

Accompanying the video, Neidhart added the caption:

Stripping down to who I am is the most thrilling thing I’ve ever done in this business. #NWA #CrockettCup

The match is set to take place at the 2025 NWA Crockett Cup show on May 17, which will also feature the Crockett Cup tag team tournament, as well as Thomas Latimer defending the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship against Rhino.
