WWE Star Claims 99.9% Of Roster Feels Overlooked

It was reported earlier on this week that backstage morale within WWE as “the worst it’s ever been”, and many in-ring performers and backstage officials alike are seemingly unhappy with Vince McMahon. This was coupled with a report that even Triple H is extremely frustrated with regards to his father-in-law’s decision making.

Well, one current Smackdown superstar has spoken out and revealed that almost all of the WWE roster feels underappreciated. Speaking with Express Sport, Rusev revealed that a lot of the locker room are unhappy with how they are being handled by Mr McMahon. He questioned why being over with the crowd doesn’t seem to matter to Vince.

“99.9 percent of the roster feels overlooked because we’re all so good and we’re all so passionate. Everybody wants to be a champion and everybody can be a champion because we’re that good. It’s just that there [are] only so many titles. You gotta find what sticks out, you gotta be different. It doesn’t matter if [we hear] Rusev Day or Lana Day chants or whatever it is, the most hyped thing doesn’t make you a champion. There’s so many moving parts to become a champion, it’s beyond my head. Only Vince McMahon knows these things.”

Rusev’s wife Lana argued that her husband deserves more recognition and opportunities that he currently receives within the company, questioning why he isn’t champion:

“I mean, Rusev should get more title opportunities. He should be champion, that’s just the bottom line. He’s been there six years and he’s had one title opportunity, I had three. I’m not the Super Athlete. My first singles match was for the title. There’s no question if Rusev should be champion. That’s just a given, it’s true, we all know that he’s the best and number one”.

Both Rusev and Lana were not featured on TV during Raw or Smackdown this week, and neither are currently set for a match on Sunday at WWE’s upcoming pay-per-view, Money In The Bank.
