A WWE star has claimed that they would “never” tap out like John Cena did in his final career match at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
John Cena’s illustrious WWE career came to an end in Washington D.C. last night, with the 17-time world champion being forced to submit for the first time in two decades to GUNTHER.
The result stunned both the fans inside the Capitol One Arena, and on social media, with Cena last “giving up” back at WWE No Way Out 2004 against Kurt Angle.
While Cena is certainly a stranger to submitting in WWE, one star who has suffered a few high profile tap out losses in recent months is Becky Lynch.
“The Man” was forced to submit to AJ Lee’s Black Widow in her two previous WWE Premium Live Event matches at Survivor Series: WarGames and Wrestlepalooza before that.
Despite these losses being fresh in the memory of fans, Lynch took to Twitter to claim that she would “never” submit like Cena did at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Lynch wrote:
I still can’t believe John Cena tapped. I WOULD NEVER!
Despite her latest post, Becky Lynch was among the stars to pay tribute to Cena on social media ahead of his final match and also appeared in the special video package that was presented to Cena afterwards.
I still can’t believe John Cena tapped. I WOULD NEVER!
