This past week, RETRIBUTION leader Mustafa Ali was invited onto the After The Bell podcast with Corey Graves to speak about the faction and a variety of other topics.
Taking to Twitter, the former 205 Live star claimed that the interview was “heavily edited” because it would have seriously upset management. He seems to suggest that bits where he would talk about “backstabbing superstars” have been edited ut.
Check out my “heavily edited because it was too hot for streaming and the higher ups would be mad” interview on @AfterTheBellWWE. You won’t hear about me standing up for myself, backstabbing superstars, and so much more because it was “too much.” So, enjoy.
It’s almost certain that WWE didn’t actually edit out parts of the interview that they thought were “too much”. This is likely just Mustafa Ali playing up the anti-WWE character that he has been using on social media and TV.
The main issue with this is why, in kayfabe, would WWE invited Mustafa Ali onto their official podcast? The idea of the group is to take down WWE, so why would the company give its leader the platform of their podcast?
