WWE Star ‘Cleared’ To Return Ahead Of Title Match

A WWE star has been ‘cleared’ to return ahead of a big championship bout at tonight’s WWE NXT Deadline event (December 7).

Emanating from The Armory in Minneapolis, MN is tonight’s WWE NXT Deadline event, with five matches set for the show’s card – two of which will see championships put on the line.

One of those being Trick Williams’ WWE NXT Championship, as he defends against Ridge Holland.

Ahead of the match on Tuesday’s NXT, Holland delivered his Redeemer finishing move to Williams on the NXT announce table, a move that saw the champion ‘hospitalized’ according to WWE.

In a storyline update ahead of Deadline, Williams confirmed that he had ‘checked out’ of hospital and is now ‘medically cleared’ to make his return at Deadline.

Via a video posted to Twitter, Williams said:

“What’s good everybody? Just an update for you. I have checked out of the hospital and I have been cleared to compete tomorrow at Deadline. 

“I’m in Minneapolis now, and as we all saw Ridge got the best of me on Tuesday. I’m not gonna lie Ridge, you took me to hell and back and hurt my neck. But there’s no way you’re gonna take this NXT Championship from me. 

“I want this bad. I’m doing this for Chase U, I’m doing this for NXT and I’m doing this for me. I’ll see you tomorrow.

Also set for tonight’s Deadline are the mens and women’s Iron Survivor Challenge matches, an NXT Underground match between Lola Vice and Jaida Parker as well as an NXT Tag Team Title match between Nathan Frazer and Axiom and No Quarter Catch Crew’s Tavion Heights and Myles Borne.
