CM Punk has not appeared on AEW television since the now infamous AEW All Out media scrum, where he verbally attacked the company’s executive vice presidents, and got into a brawl with the Elite.
While Punk is currently out injured, there has been speculation on he and AEW agreeing to a contract buyout, but no such agreement has been reached as of yet.
With Punk’s AEW future in doubt, some fans have speculated about him potentially making a return to WWE now he’s back in the wrestling landscape.
WWE’s Seth Rollins spoke with Nick Hausman of WrestlingInc at the WWE 2K23 Royal Rumble hands-on event, where he was asked about Punk maybe returning to the WWE fold.
Seth did not hold back on his feelings on Punk, saying:
“Oh Philly Phil, stay away. Stay away you cancer. Get away from me forever.
“Yeah no I don’t like Phil, he’s a jerk. Did we just figure that out? Everyone in the room is like ‘oh no, did he say that?’ Yeah, no he’s a jerk. We figured that out over there, we knew it over here, I don’t want him back.
“Go do something else. Bye bye, see you later!”
