A WWE Raw star has taken to social media to comment on an injury he suffered during a match on last night’s episode of Raw.
Ivar hurt himself on a dive to the outside during an eight-man tag match last night. Upon an awkward landing he held up the “X” gesture to signify something was legitimately wrong.
The referee then counted a three-count following a Cedric Alexander Michinoku Driver despite Ricochet clearly kicking out at two, so it was clear an audible had been called to end the match early.
WWE updated the situation after the show, saying he’d been taken to hospital and was expected to make a full recovery.
Ivar has now posted a tweet, writing:
From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU to every single friend, family and fan who has reached out to me. My heart is truly touched from all the love and support. Still figuring it all out but I am working hard to recover and be better than ever! Love you all
We send Ivar our best and wish him a safe recovery.
