A WWE star has sent a message to her fans after taking what she described as a “hell of a beating” on last night’s SmackDown.
The October 31 episode of SmackDown saw former friends and rivals Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss compete against one another in singles action for the first time since June 2021, after Jax laid out the challenge during a frosty backstage exchange between the two on the previous week’s show.
While Jax was full of confidence during that face-to-face last week, it was Bliss who pulled out the win over her larger opponent due to some timely interference from Bliss’ tag team partner Charlotte Flair, who had been shoved by Jax at ringside moments prior.
After Jax had Bliss in position for the Annihilator, Flair got up on the apron and distracted Jax, which allowed Bliss to roll up Jax for the upset win.
Taking to Twitter after the match, Bliss thanked her fans for the support after the physical contest:
Took a hell of a beating from the irresistible force – but I still won’t back down.
thanks for sticking by me for the win
