A WWE star has confirmed that they suffered a broken ankle during the Friday, February 6 episode of SmackDown.
With the 2026 Elimination Chamber premium live event coming on February 28, last week’s episode of SmackDown saw the beginning of qualifying matches for the Men’s and Women’s Chamber Matches – with Tiffany Stratton, Chelsea Green and Lash Legend battling it out for a spot in the latter.
Unfortunately during the course of the match Green suffered an ankle injury, but managed to still complete the match. However, she would be forced to pull out of a scheduled defense of her and Ethan Page’s AAA Mixed Tag Team Titles the following night on AAA on FOX.
While it was reported by several outlets that Green had not suffered an ankle break, the former Women’s United States Champion has now confirmed that she did in fact break her ankle on SmackDown.
Issuing a “breaking news” edition of her “Chelsea Chronicle” newspaper, Green shared an image of what appears to be an x-ray of her ankle, along with the headline:
“Ankle Breaks; Spirit Prevails
“Nation Watched in Horror as Resilient President Finished Wrestling Match on Live TV”
We will provide further updates on Green’s injury and potential recovery timeline as more information becomes available.
We at WrestleTalk wish Chelsea a full and speedy recovery.
