A notable WWE star’s debut match for the company has been officially announced after recently receiving their new name.
At this week’s WWE NXT tapings, Olympic Gold Medalist Tamyra Mensah-Stock made her in-ring debut for the company.
Now going under the name Tyra Mae Steele, she competed on the NXT Level Up tapings against Wren Sinclair in a match set to air on this week’s show.
Now, WWE has officially announced Steele’s debut match for the show, with the following description for the match:
Steele may be new to WWE, but the young competitor boasts a decorated amateur career, which includes a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics in freestyle wrestling.
She’ll take on Sinclair, an energetic high-five enthusiast who is quickly becoming one of the more popular Superstars on NXT Level Up.
The show will also see Luca Crusifino of the D’Angelo Family taking on Uriah Connors, as well as Josh Briggs facing off with Shiloh Hill.
