After a few weeks of vignettes, Lyra Valkyria made her NXT debut on tonight’s December 13 edition of the show on the USA Network.
Valkyria previously wrestled in NXT UK as Aoife Valkyrie, and is one of the NXT UK talents who was moved to the US instead of being released when the brand was axed.
In her first NXT US appearance, Valkyria picked up the win tonight against Amari Miller.
As you’ll see if you watch the video below, Valkyria’s first entrance was accompanied by some very busy cloud/rain graphics on the screen, for some reason.
It wasn’t a complete squash, but it was short and Valkyria ended up winning with a frog splash.
There was nothing more than just the match, so no hints of Valkyria starting an actual feud with anyone yet or anything like that.
Also worth mentioning in case you hadn’t seen is the Mandy Rose vs Roxanne Perez NXT Women’s Title match will now be happening TONIGHT, not January 10 as previously scheduled.
