WWE Star Denies Being COVID Spreader

WWE Star Denies Being COVID Spreader

Taking to Twitter, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Shayna Baszler has denied being the person responsible for the reported COVID outbreak that has swept WWE over the last few weeks.

Mia Yim took to Twitter to post a picture of herself, Jessamyn Duke, Dakota Kai and Shayna Baszler a few days ago. In response, Twitter user @JWrestlingV2 accused Baszler of having Coronavirus, or at least being around someone who did:

When was this taken? Word is Shayna got the Rona or was around someone with the Rona. You have the Rona Mia? Come to think of it, Retribution wasn’t on Raw bc of the Rona. Rona is catchy you know. Dont get the Rona, and if you do have the Rona, dont spread the Rona.

Unsurprisingly, the two-time NXT Women’s Champion and current Raw star didn’t take too kindly to this specific fan’s comment, telling the person to stop spreading false information:

Or how about don’t spread false information?

For those that don’t know, Shayna Baszler and her tag team partner Nia Jax both missed Clash of Champions last weekend due to a COVID-related issue. WWE stated that Nia Jax wasn’t “medically cleared”, which reportedly upset her.

Thankfully, it has not been reported that Shayna Baszler or Nia Jax have tested positive for Coronavirus, which is certainly great news. We all hope to see them back on WWE TV once it is safe for them to return.
