A WWE star has edited their former tag team partner out of a post celebrating the anniversary of a career defining WrestleMania moment.
Taking place six years ago today on April 7, 2019, WWE WrestleMania 35 is an event perhaps best remembered for Kofi Kingston’s first and thus far only WWE Championship win.
After defeating Daniel Bryan, Kingston was joined in the ring for a celebration by fellow New Day members Big E and Xavier Woods, who hoisted Kofi up on their shoulders in an image that is among the most iconic in recent WrestleMania history.
While the trio were a happy family in 2019, in 2025 it is only Woods and Kingston who remain a part of The New Day – with Big E being ousted from the group during their 10th anniversary celebration on Raw in December.
Keeping in line with he and Woods’ heel behavior since splitting from Big E, Kingston took to Twitter in celebration of the anniversary of Kofi Mania, only this time editing out Big E completely from the famous celebratory image.
Commenting ahead of The New Day’s World Tag Team Championship opportunity against The War Raiders on WWE Raw, Kingston tweeted:
4/7/2019 We made history by beating the odds & achieving what many believed to be the impossible.
Tonight, 6 years later to the day, we’ve earned the chance to add to our legacy, further solidifying ourselves as the Greatest Tag Team in history.
#ThankGodForTheNewDay #wweraw
In response to Kingston’s post, Xavier Woods would then rub salt in the wounds regarding Big E’s removal, tweeting:
Being the only one there supporting @TrueKofi in this moment was amazing.
Tonight we make history again #ThankGodForTheNewDay

A title win on WWE Raw would be The New Day’s 10th of their career and their first time with gold since holding the NXT Tag Team Titles in late 2022-early 2023.
Elsewhere on Raw, Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria will defend her title against Bayley, with appearances from CM Punk, Paul Heyman and Seth Rollins also advertised.
