Former WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley has discussed her “emotional” reaction to The Judgment Day’s split.
At WWE SummerSlam, Liv Morgan defeated Rhea Ripley to retain the WWE Women’s World Championship after an assist from Dominik Mysterio. Post match, Morgan kissed “Dirty Dom” to confirm Mysterio’s betrayal of Ripley.
Later in the show, Finn Balor cost Damian Priest the World Heavyweight Championship to GUNTHER.
In a new interview with The Wrestling Classic, Rhea Ripley discussed her “emotional” reaction to leaving The Judgment Day. She said:
“I feel like that was when I started opening up and feeling comfortable going out there in front of the crowd, because I had the boys I could fall back on,”
“So it was really emotional for me. I saw something come out about Judgment Day members, a specific one crying backstage after everything. I’m not ashamed of it. That was me. I was upset.”
On feeling sad and loving her time with The Judgment Day as the most fun she’s had in her career, Rhea said:
“I felt I could go out there and be a cheeky little menace and get away with it, for real, and have fun with my friends,”
“I loved my time with The Judgment Day. Now, I’m loving my time absolutely brutalizing The Judgment Day. They are not the real Judgment Day. They are street trash.”
Rhea Ripley will challenge Liv Morgan in a rematch for the WWE Women’s World Championship on Saturday, October 5 at WWE Bad Blood.
