WWE Star Expected To Be Released

WWE Star Expected To Be Released

***UPDATE***

Since we posted this, Jaxson Ryker has appeared on WWE Main Event, and while this does not confirm that WWE has changed its mind on releasing him in the near future, it may suggest that they are giving him another chance before making a final decision.

Fightful Select has reported that few people backstage are fans of Ryker, but we’ll have to see whether this apparent teaming up with Elias is a new start for him.

While speaking about the returns of Steve Cutler and Wesley Blake, Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio last night that he expects Jaxson Ryker to be one of the people next released by WWE.

Meltzer explained that WWE just hasn’t gotten around to releasing Ryker yet, but noted that he’ll likely be fired when the next batch of releases takes place, whenever that may be.

This isn’t too surprising considering Fightful reported yesterday that there is unsurprisingly still backstage heat on Ryker for comments he made during the Black Lives Matter movement this year.

At this time, it is unclear whether or not WWE is planning on releasing Ryker anytime soon, but he will likely be one of the people when WWE next decides to release talent, whenever that may be.

For those that don’t know, Steve Cutler and Wesley Blake returned to WWE TV for the first time since Ryker’ comments on SmackDown this week. They aligned themselves with King Corbin, seemingly dropping the Forgotten Sons gimmick.
