A new WWE signing has explained their decision to sign with the company over a ‘very juicy’ offer from another company.
Stephanie Vaquer received a lot of spotlight back at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event, when she faced off with Mercedes Mone in a double title match for the AEW TBS and NJPW STRONG Women’s Championships.
Mercedes would end up winning the match, holding both titles even to this day, but the following two weeks were rather eventful for Stephanie.
Less than two weeks after her appearance at Forbidden Door, Stephanie was announced as the latest WWE signing, with her competing in her first match for the company on a live event in Mexico.
Speaking to Nocias 24, Stephanie explained her decision to sign with WWE, noting that she received another ‘very juicy offer’ financially.
She said:
“I’ll be very honest. Since I was a child, my dream was to sign for WWE. But you grow up, you can’t be guided by the dreams you had when you were 9 years old. When I did what I did in Mexico and Japan, I had already fulfilled a dream. I was missing this extra. Not everything is money. I received another very juicy offer financially. To be a complete wrestler, I was missing being in WWE. I came to NXT because it was the best women’s division in existence.”
