WWE Star Explains When Current Faction ‘Clicked’ WWE

A WWE star has described when they feel their current faction first clicked as a fully formed group in the ring.

According to Dakota Kai, despite the fact that Bayley, IYO SKY and herself debuted at SummerSlam, it was really at Clash at the Castle where things really started to come together.

While chatting to WrestleZone during WrestleMania 39 weekend, Dakota Kai described when she first felt Damage CTRL started clicking.

Noting that the idea of having a girl group has been an idea of Bayley’s for “years now,” Kai described which big win felt like to cemented their faction.

Kai said:

“I feel like, for us — and this has been an idea that Bayley’s wanted to do for years now, like a group. And I think the moment that it clicked for us was probably at like Clash at the Castle,”

“That was such a big win for us, and that was such an iconic — in Wales, Cardiff, the crowd was amazing. Everything just worked out for us in that match. I think that was a good moment for us.”

While IYO SKY and Dakota Kai would go on to lose the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions to Becky Lynch and Lita, their reign wasn’t a particularly long one.

Recently losing the titles to Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, the titles are now up for grabs again, this time on SmackDown this week (April 21) as the champs are set to defend the belts against Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville.
