A WWE star has pitched to be John Cena’s final opponent at Saturday Night’s Main Event to avenge Cena ‘screwing over’ their father.
At tonight’s WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show, John Cena appeared in a video package, where he announced how his final opponent at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13 would be determined.
Cena announced that a tournament would begin on the November 10 episode of Raw featuring stars from Raw, SmackDown, NXT and ‘even people not working here’, with the winner facing Cena in his final match in Washington DC.
A number of names were shown off in the video package, including The Miz, Gunther, Sheamus and Carmelo Hayes, but a current WWE NXT star has pitched a personal grudge match with Cena.
Taking to Twitter, NXT’s Brooks Jensen pitched to face off with Cena to avenge him for ‘screwing his father’s career’.
He said:
It’s been 22 years since John Cena screwed my fathers career over… maybe my time is now #SNME
Brooks’ father Bull Buchanan served as Cena’s hype man B2 during his Doctor of Thuganomics run on SmackDown in 2003.
