A WWE star has fired back at fans saying they should ‘go back to NXT’ after a botch on last night’s episode of SmackDown.

On last night’s show, LA Knight approached SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, where he asked him about Logan Paul, and a potential shot at the United States Championship.

Following the segment, Knight was interrupted by Carmelo Hayes, who also staked his claim to a shot at Logan’s title.

During the segment, Hayes accidentally mixed up the names of Knight and Paul, accidentally referring to Logan as ‘LA’, which Knight quickly pointed out.

Following the show, Carmelo Hayes took to Twitter, where he fired back at fans following the mistake, and some who were claiming he should ‘go back to NXT’.

He wrote:

Oops I got a name mixed up on Live Tv. Maybe I should “Go bACk To nXT”

Hayes was drafted to SmackDown in the first round of the 2024 WWE Draft, and was defeated in the King of the Ring quarter finals by Randy Orton.
