WWE Star Fires Shot At ‘Professional Pretender’ John Cena WWE

A WWE star has fired a shot at John Cena following his actions on this past Friday’s SmackDown in Dublin, Ireland (August 22).

In his final ever WWE appearance in Dublin, John Cena went face-to-face with Logan Paul ahead of their grudge match at WWE Clash in Paris on August 31.

During the pair’s war of words, Cena admitted that Paul would likely become a world champion and main event WrestleMania some day, but branded “The Maverick” a “disappointment” and “parasite”, lamenting him for taking up a spot on his WWE retirement tour that could have went to the likes of Dominik Mysterio, Seth Rollins, Jacob Fatu and AJ Styles.

Cena also called out Paul for using WWE to push his products rather than seeking to give back, with the 17-time champion going out to ringside and knocking over the Prime hydration station to accentuate his point.

While Cena got the better of the exchange verbally and physically in the ring – delivering an Attitude Adjustment to Paul – its was Logan who struck last, blindsiding Cena with a punch backstage whilst Cena was talking with SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis.

In response to the promo battle, Logan took to Twitter to call out Cena for his hypocrisy after previously appearing on his Impaulsive podcast.

Vowing to put on the “greatest match” of Cena’s retirement tour thus far at Clash in Paris, Paul wrote:

I stand by every word I said last night

I’m the most real wrestler in the WWE, and that includes the professional pretender who will chug a bottle of PRIME on my podcast then disrespect it on TV for a cheap pop

But John was right about one thing: Clash In Paris is the most important match of my life

The pressure is on and I LOVE IT — that’s why Logan Paul VS. John Cena will be the greatest match of his retirement tour.
