WWE Star Expresses Frustration With The Bloodline, Teases Character Change WWE

A WWE star has expressed their continued frustration with The Bloodline, teasing a change to their current on-screen character.

With their last run with WWE tag team gold coming almost four years ago, Montez Ford of the Street Profits has expressed his frustration with he and Angelo Dawkins’ lack of success, due in no small part to The Bloodline.

Since The Bloodline began in 2020, Ford and Dawkins have been among the group’s most persistent rivals, with the Profits challenging The Usos for their tag team gold several times during Jimmy and Jey’s record-breaking title run between 2021-2023.

Even with The Bloodline’s change in leadership post-WrestleMania, the Street Profits have still found themselves falling short in their attempts to reach the top of the tag ranks again.

Speaking to The Daily Star, Ford discussed his recent misfortunes, saying he relates to Kevin Owens’ recent frustrations due to how long they have had to contend with The Bloodline.

Ford said:

“I feel like I’m the greatest athlete in the professional wrestling circuit. I feel like I’m the greatest entertainer in the professional wrestling circuit. I feel like I’m the greatest of all time. I feel like my confidence is at an all time high.

“I feel like I’m the only one, consecutively, that has been dealing with the Bloodline and every variation of the Bloodline, for the last four years. I’ve been the one doing it. I’ve been the one trying to fight off this disease. Me, Dawks, and occasionally Kevin Owens.

“You seen what happened to Kevin Owens recently, he’s a little frustrated. I feel like I’m on the verge of becoming the same way. How many times do I have to takedown another variant of the Bloodline? It seems like every time we get close to the Tag Team Championships, the Bloodline shows up.”

When discussing the pair’s recent run-ins with DIY, Ford teased that a “shift” in direction was required, saying that their “kindness is being taken for weakness”.

He continued:

“I feel fine. My body is a little bruised. A little woozy or whatever after the ladder match, but looking back on it, ‘Man, not only did I put on a show, I almost won the Tag Team Championships.’ Not only was the Bloodline in the way, but now DIY is in the way.

“We were pairing up with them, helping them, I know we’re both going after the Tag Team Championships, but you seem to be in the way of what we’re trying to accomplished. Helped them out for weeks, we finally go for the titles, and then they tend to remember what this is all about. I feel well, but now it feels like the kindness is being taken for weakness in a lot of ways. There needs to be another shift. There has to be.”

While they have yet to comment publicly about it, many fans will be interested to find out The Street Profits’ reaction to the Motor City Machine Guns’ WWE Tag Team Championship win over The Bloodline on SmackDown.

Before Shelley and Sabin captured the gold in the SmackDown main event however, they first knocked off DIY in a number one contender’s match.
