WWE Star Gained ‘A Lot Of Buzz’ Backstage For SmackDown Performance

A WWE star reportedly gained “a lot of buzz” backstage in the company following their performance on Friday’s SmackDown (November 22).

On an eventful night of action in Salt Lake City, we saw the next step in the rivalry between Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and his former friend Kevin Owens.

For the first time since Owens first attacked the American Nightmare backstage at Bad Blood, the two stars had their first true face-to-face on SmackDown.

The promo battle was one packed full of emotion from both sides, and built anticipation towards their eventual clash at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 14.

While both stars delivered memorable promos, Fightful Select has noted that Owens’ performance gained “a lot of buzz” from those they talked to backstage in WWE.

Elsewhere on SmackDown was the return of both Paul Heyman and CM Punk, with the latter being revealed as the fifth member of Team OG Bloodline at Survivor Series WarGames.
