A WWE star has been receiving high praise behind the scenes in the company according to a new report.
After making her in-ring debut during NXT’s live event show in Melbourne, Florida on Saturday, March 30, a new report has revealed that Olympic gold medalist Tamyra Mensah-Stock is receiving glowing reviews within the company.
F4WOnline states that “nothing but good” things have been heard regarding Mensah-Stock from within WWE.
This seems to echo an earlier report in July 2023, of which Dave Meltzer wrote in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Mensah-Stock was taking to wrestling like a “duck to water”, with high-hopes for her future in the company.
Following in the footsteps of WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle and NXT star Gable Steveson, Mensah-Stock is the first female Olympic gold medalist to sign with WWE.
Mensah-Stock won her gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, where she made further history by becoming the first African-Amercian female to win a gold medal in freestyle wrestling.
WrestleTalk will provide further updates on Mensah-Stock’s progress as/when they become available.
