The November 6 episode of WWE NXT saw Bubba Ray Dudley make an in-ring return, teaming with Trick Williams.
Williams and Dudley teamed together to take on “All Ego” Ethan Page and Ridge Holland after the pair had choice words for the ECW legend on last week’s show.
In Dudley’s first WWE match since August 2016, it would be Holland who would get the roll-up pin on Williams.
Post-match, D-Von Dudley would make an appearance after Holland exited the ring, leaving Page to be put through a table (as can be seen below).
Williams was, naturally, disappointed by his loss, but the Dudley Boyz had a message for the NXT Champion, as can be also be seen below.
With Williams expressing his belief that he shouldn’t have lot and he “is better than that”, Dudley would reply by saying:
“I agree. You are better than that.”
D-Von would also be on Williams’ side, interjecting to say:
“Listen, we all lose. We’ve lost many a times, but we’ve been successful at it.
“When I say successful, even though we’ve lost, a lot of successful matches after that followed and you’ll do the same.
“You’re young, you’re hungry and you’re a helluva talent, so keep your head up and don’t you dare look down.”

Bubba Ray Dudley would suggest that something was perhaps missing from the praise, adding “Testify?” before going on to say:
“Now, put the glasses on. Now put it up. Trick Dudley”
It would be be D-Von who would drop his famous catchphrase, stating:
“Oh, my brother, Testify.”
Bubba Ray would say he’d already said that, but D-Von would point out that he hadn’t said it right.
