WWE Star Hoping To Redesign Championship

WWE Star Hoping To Redesign Championship WWE

NXT is set to hold it’s third annual Stand & Deliver event in Los Angeles on April 1 as part of WrestleMania weekend.

The main event of the show is the highly anticipated clash between the two faces of the NXT 2.0 era, Carmelo Hayes and Bron Breakker, for the NXT Championship.

Upon the change to NXT 2.0, the NXT and NXT Women’s Championships were given a new look to match the rainbow aesthetic of the rebrand, which now feels out of place since the show once again rebranded back in November.

With Breakker reportedly set to become a main roster mainstay after WrestleMania, many believe this will be when he is unseated from the title he won at last year’s Raw after WrestleMania.

Speaking on WWE’s The Bump, Hayes spoke about how he hopes to move away from the rainbow designed championship, believing it defines Bron’s generation.

He said:

“All I’m thinking about is that match with Bron. I’m not really thinking about much other than the match. I mean, I’d like to get away from the rainbow championship. I think that that defines that generation of Bron Breakker, and we’re gonna move way past that and go into the Him Era, which is my era, the Carmelo Hayes era.

“So it is a possibility, but I need to get to LA and I need to get to Stand & Deliver before we start talking about those types of things.”

Breakker and Hayes teamed up against Pretty Deadly on last night’s episode of NXT, with Hayes scoring the win.

The full card for Stand & Deliver is now set following next week’s NXT show, which was taped last night.
