A WWE star suffered an injury during a match on tonight’s May 2 episode of WWE SmackDown in Des Moines, Iowa.
Tonight’s SmackDown played host to a tag team match between Fraxiom and Pretty Deadly following Fraxiom’s recent call-up from NXT.
During the course of the match, there was an unfortunate moment where Nathan Frazer appeared to land badly on Elton Prince’s face from a standing shooting star press.
What followed was an issue with Frazer’s subsequent pin attempt, as Prince didn’t kick out as planned despite the referee stopping the count at two.
Prince had been busted open with visible blood from his mouth area, and was noticeably dreary for a few moments after, before he tagged out of the match and Kit Wilson came in.
There was then another botched pin count as Kit Wilson pinned Frazer off a powerbomb – the referee counted three, but Frazer kicked out, and the match continued.
You can see both of the aforementioned pins in the videos attached below.
Fraxiom did eventually win the match, pinning Wilson as Prince was being looked at by doctors outside of the ring.
