A WWE star has provided an update on their tag team partner who has been sidelined with an injury for eight months.
Viking Raider Ivar has been showcased as a singles wrestler on Raw over the past few months, with his partner Erik currently sidelined.
Erik underwent neck fusion surgery back in September, with Ivar competing as a solo star with Valhalla in his corner up until Valhalla’s recent pregnancy announcement.
Speaking to TV Insider, Ivar provided an update on his partner’s health following the surgery, noting that he is ‘doing great’ and it is a ‘matter of time’ before he returns.
He said:
It’s slow and steady. It’s a neck injury. I had a neck injury a few years ago. Necks are weird. We all know with Big E, his neck was weird.
“It’s a matter of how you heal and recover. He is doing great, but it’s slow and steady. It’s a matter of time before he is back.
Ivar was drafted to the Raw roster in the 2024 WWE Draft.
