WWE Star Teases Interpromotional Matches Amid Contract Expiry WWE

A current WWE star believes they’re doing ‘the best work of their career’, pitching matches against stars from TNA and Japan.

TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace made a surprise appearance in the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match, marking the second time that the Knockouts Champion had appeared in the Women’s Rumble.

Many hoped that her appearance would spark the beginning of a new ‘forbidden door’ for WWE with TNA and other promotions, and one current WWE star has pitched for matches against TNA and Japanese stars.

Speaking to The Wrestling Classic, WWE’s Natalya said that she believes she’s currently doing the best work of her career, and pitched matches against Jordynne Grace, Gail Kim and various women’s wrestlers from Japan.

She said:

“I want to still keep moving forward in the business. Like, people say, ‘When’re you gonna slow down? When are you gonna retire?’ I feel like I’m in the best shape of my life, I’m doing the best work of my career. I just have so much more I want to do. There’s just so many more women in the industry that I want to work.

“Not just in WWE, but I want to work with Gail Kim. I want to work with Jordynne Grace. I see some of these Japanese girls that I admire so much. Some of them come and train with me, but I’m like, one day, I want to work with these girls. There’s girls from every corner of the industry that I’m like, I want to work with her. I want to work with her. I want to wrestle the best.”

Natalya’s current WWE contract is set to expire in just two weeks.
