Popular WWE SmackDown star LA Knight is set to receive a key to the city of Hagerstown, Maryland this coming weekend.

2023 has been the best year of the career of LA Knight with “The Megastar” reaching new heights over on the SmackDown brand. Having done battle with the likes of Roman Reigns, Sheamus and Finn Balor, Knight has proven himself to be a main event caliber performer.

On December 20, the City of Hagerstown, MD announced that LA Knight will be receiving a key to the city on December 23.

Knight grew up in Hagerstown, Maryland and graduated from North Hagerstown High School class of 2000. The City of Hagerstown wrote the following:

“The City of Hagerstown will present one of its own, and currently one of the most popular Superstars in World Wrestling Entertainment, with the key to the city on Saturday, December 23 at noon at University Plaza.

Now known around the globe as “LA Knight”, Shaun Ricker was born in Hagerstown on November 1, 1982 and graduated from North Hagerstown High School in 2000.

The public is invited to attend this recognition ceremony on Saturday as he returns to his hometown to receive this unique and well-deserved honor.”

LA Knight is currently on the SmackDown brand where he is involved in a feud with The Bloodline.

On the December 15 edition of SmackDown, AJ Styles returned and laid out Knight, seemingly turning heel in the process.
