A WWE star has commented on Nikki Bella’s return run with the company, explaining why he “loves” the approach that she’s taken.
Bella made a comeback in the 2025 Royal Rumble match, and then after another few months, has been appearing pretty regularly Evolution in July.
On last night’s episode of WWE Raw, she made the save for Stephanie Vaquer as Vaquer was being attacked by Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez.
During the official Raw Recap show, Big E had praise for how Bella has handled her return, particularly that she wants to mix it up with the current roster rather than just coasting off of nostalgia.
He said:
“I really love Nikki’s approach. She’s not someone who is just resting on her laurels and what she accomplished and the world championships from years ago.
“She’s someone who’s saying, ‘Hey, I know I have not been in the mix for a bit, I’m just now coming back this past year or so, and I wanna see how I match up in these new fresh match-ups. I wanna see how I am in the ring against some of the best women today.’
“I think a lot of people would be really excited to see potentially a face-off between her and AJ Lee, but that’s something that we’ve seen before. And I love that Nikki is now throwing her name in the ring against the best women of today. We’re gonna get so many fresh match-ups, so many new match-ups.
“This version of Nikki is hungry, I see someone who is not just saying, ‘Hey I was the woman who ran things a decade ago and y’all should bow down to me. No, I want to see how I stack up against this current lineup.'”
