Impact Wrestling held Slammiversary XVII last night, featuring a notable intergender main event between Sami Callihan and Tessa Blanchard.
However, perhaps the most interesting news came out of the Impact Title match between Brian Cage and Michael Elgin.
Following Cage retaining his title, Elgin lost his cool and attacked Cage, then went after commentator Don Callis. Elgin was about to give Callis a beating until a mystery masked man made the save with a spear/gore.

The masked man never revealed himself but it was clearly WWE star Rhyno, who was a former NWA World Heavyweight Champion when working for the promotion previously.
It has been no secret that Rhyno is leaving WWE when his contract expires, however he is believed to have another nine days on his current contract.
It is possible that reports of his contract’s expiry date were wrong, that WWE has released him early or that he is still under contract but WWE authorised him to do the show – which may explain why he was under a mask.
Regardless, Rhyno is back with Impact and is clearly entering into a feud with Elgin going forward.
