With last night being the Clash of Champions pay-per-view event, it’s quite fitting that we saw WWE Raw star R-Truth break a piece of WWE championship history on the show last night.
Twitter account @WWEStats has noted that after dropping the 24/7 Championship to Drew Gulak last night and then regaining the title later on in the night, Truth has become a 40-time 24/7 Champion.
This is particularly significant as it means that R-Truth has now won 45 championships during his time with WWE, which means he’s won the most titles out of anyone in the company’s long history.
R-Truth (@RonKillings) is now a… wait for it…
FORTY-time @WWE 24/7 Champion.
His 45 title reigns are the most in #WWE history for any Superstar. #WWEClash

Along with his 40 reigns as 24/7 Champion over the last two years, R-Truth has also held the Hardcore Championship twice, the United States Championship on two separate occasions, and the WWE Tag Team Championships with Kofi Kingston once.
While the 24/7 Championship is certainly nothing more than a joke title, this is still a pretty impressive achievement for R-Truth, who first debuted for WWE as K-Kwik back in 1999.
