Find out which professional wrestling power couple are responsible for playing matchmaker to the point they got one WWE star hitched!

After vowing to never even date another wrestler, Chelsea Green shared the story of accepting a date with one, future husband Matt Cardona, after a professional wrestling power couple made a light introduction.

On Out of Character with Ryan Satin, Chelsea Green revealed the big names from professional wrestling that actually first set her up with her future husband, Matt Cardona.

Chelsea Green said of another famous couple, Cody and Brandi Rhodes, who got to know Green during their mutual time in IMPACT Wrestling:

“[They] met me and said they had a friend who was lonely and needed to go on a date.

“So, Matt slid into my DMs. I would give more of the props to Brandi because guys are guys and I’m sure Cody was like, ‘Yeah she’s cool,’ but Cody didn’t really know me.

“Brandi got to know me in the time that she was in Impact and suggested to Matt that he reach out to me.”

Green went on to share that just dating Cardona was already breaking one major rule that she had set for herself in the industry.

Green said:

“I had a rule and I told at the time, AK, Allie, Rosemary, and Maria Kanellis that I would never, ever date a wrestler.

“Because I never wanted to be in this position where you would break up and people would take sides and then it would get messy and all that stuff. And then the first wrestler that I dated, I married.”

The couple were wed indeed, getting married in a beautiful ceremony in Las Vegas on December 31, 2021 where some of wrestling’s top stars were in attendance including the aforementioned Cody Rhodes, the Miz, Adam Cole & Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. to name a few.

Chelsea Green has a big opportunity coming up on this week’s upcoming edition of Monday Night Raw as after WWE stars return from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Green will team with Sonya Deville in a major four way tag team match to determine the next WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.

The team of Green and Deville will face off against Damage CTRL (Bayley & IYO SKY), Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler and Raquel Rodriguez and Shotzi to determine the next tag team champs.

The previous champions, Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan vacated the championships after Morgan was injured.

The card for WWE Night of Champions 2023 on Saturday, May 27 is as follows:
