WWE Star Posts Heartfelt Message Following Return From Nine Month Injury Absence WWE

A WWE star has commented for the first time since their return following a nine month injury absence.

WWE NXT’s September 27 live event from Davenport, Florida saw the long-awaited in-ring return of Nikkita Lyons, nine months on from suffering a serious knee injury.

In her first match since facing off with Blair Davenport on January 9, Lyons teamed with Dante Chen to take on Izzi Dame and Jasper Troy and has since taken to Twitter to comment on her big return.

Posting a heartfelt message, Lyons wrote:

It’s been 8 months since my 2nd ACL surgery, I missed you guys sooo much I’m overwhelmed with all the kind comments and messages, please know that I see you and I’m infinitely grateful for your love and support!

It’s been a long road but life will test you to see how bad you really want it and how hard you’re willing to fight. Everything we go through is to learn, level up and ascend.

HUGE shoutout to the WWE Medical team for helping guide me through everything, especially TARA!!!! I love you dearly  and I love you WWE NXT Universe! TIME TO MF POUNCE  #JustBreathe #TheLyoness #RAH #NikkitaMultiMedia

It remains to be seen how Lyons will factor into NXT’s creative plans ahead of the show’s big debut on The CW on Tuesday.
