WWE
A WWE star has been moved from the active roster section of WWE.com to the Alumni section after an appearance on WWE television last week.
Kushida has been listed on WWE.com under the ‘Alumni’ section rather than a current superstar.
Kushida last appeared on WWE television on last week’s episode of NXT 2.0 where he was assaulted by Von Wagner backstage and replaced by his Jacket Time tag partner Ikemen Jiro in the pre-announced match.
Kushida has also deleted his Twitter account at the time of writing.
Details are unknown at this time however Kushida would be subject to a recently reported name change edict within WWE to avoid having stars use an iteration of their real name or previously used names to perform for other wrestling entities.
Kushida of course falls under both categories, being widely known by his actual name from previous work with New Japan Pro Wrestling amongst other notable promotions.
UPDATE: According to a report from Fightful Select, they have confirmed Kushida’s departure from WWE although it remains unclear whether or not the exit was a matter of contract expiration or budget-related cuts.
