A WWE star’s name change has been confirmed, revealing the recipient of a name that was recently trademarked by the company.
On April 25, WWE filed to trademark the name, Jin Tala, with it being unknown at that time who would be using it.
During last night’s May 28 episode of WWE Evolve, it was revealed that Jin Tala is the new name for LFG season one star Leigh Laurel.
Laurel – now Tala – appeared in a backstage segment on Evolve with the brand’s “Prime Minister” Stevie Turner, officially confirming she’s a new Evolve signee.
On next week’s episode, Tala will make her Evolve in-ring debut in a match against Carlee Bright.
Tala was on Team Booker T during season one of WWE LFG, using her real name Leigh Laurel during that show.
Also on last night’s Evolve, the first ever WWE Evolve Women’s Champion was crowned as Kali Armstrong won a four-way tournament final against Kendal Grey, Wendy Choo and Kylie Rae.
Next week’s episode will see the crowning of the WWE Evolve Men’s Champion in a four-way between Edris Enofe, Jackson Drake, Sean Legacy and Keanu Carver.
