Since the shift to NXT 2.0 back in September 2021, the focus of the developmental show completely shifted, focusing on younger athletes instead of the smaller independent wrestlers.
Many of the Black and Gold mainstays have since departed the brand, either heading up to WWE’s main roster or leaving the company, but one still remains under an NXT contract.
Former Undisputed Era member Roderick Strong has not been seen on WWE television for months, with him most recently seen acting as the leader of the Diamond Mine faction, which has since slowly started to dissolve.
Strong’s involvement in the group was halted abruptly due to an injury he had suffered back in the Summer of 2022.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Strong is still under contract to the company, he just ‘isn’t being used’ currently.
The reason behid Strong’s NXT absence is not known.
Strong had reportedly requested his release from the company multiple times, but his release was not granted due to his role in the Diamond Mine story.
The other three Undisputed Era members have left the company, with all three landing in AEW, though Bobby Fish has since departed.
