A WWE star has voiced his displeasure after news recently emerged online regarding his contract status with the company.
Over the past few weeks, there has been an undeniable groundswell of support for Karrion Kross, starting online but expanding to live crowds more recently.
There has yet to really be a significant push for Kross on TV to reflect this, but WWE is aware of it to the point that Kross merch is now being sold live at arenas, which wasn’t the case previously.
A big reason for Kross’ growth in popularity has been his interviews, where he’s often blurred the lines between reality and fiction, and what are his true real-life feelings compared to his “in-character” feelings.
It recently emerged that Kross’ WWE contract is due to expire some time this year – a fact that Kross says he isn’t happy is now publicly known.
In a new interview with Ariel Helwani, Kross said:
“That put me over the edge. Because that was also happening, I think that happened online shortly after AOP and Ellering were gone. It was just one thing after another. I’m still pretty pissed about that.
“I don’t know who did it, it’s impossible to say, I have no idea. But I was kind of out of my mind at that moment. It’s just privacy, you know what I mean?”
Paul Ellering and the Authors of Pain, who were members of Kross’ Final Testament faction, were released by WWE in February.
During the same interview, Kross clarified that he’s not “disgruntled” about his current position in WWE, he’s just hungry for more.
