Top WWE Star Spotted On Set For Major MCU Movie

Top WWE Star Spotted On Set For Major MCU Movie Marvel Studios

UPDATE – This story has reportedly led to concern over the new WWE World Heavyweight Championship, find out more at this link.

Former WWE Champion Seth Rollins has been spotted on set for a major Marvel Cinematic Universe movie.

Following his tournament match wins on the March 8 edition of Raw, Rollins is preparing to face AJ Styles for the new World Heavyweight Title at the May 27 Night of Champions event.

Rollins appears to be working on another important project, with the Visionary spotted in Atlanta, Georgia during filming of Captain America: New World Order.

Photographer and journalist Christopher Oquendo has shared a video from the set, and standing front and centre is the former WWE Champion. You can view the video below.

Captain America: New World Order is a major project, with it being the first Captain America movie with Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson as the titular Captain America, rather than Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers.

The ‘New World Order’ in the title refers to a fictional organisation based on one from the comics, so I wouldn’t expect to see Rollins fighting Hollywood Hulk Hogan in this.

The movie is currently slated for a May 2024 release, however some MCU projects have been pushed back in recent months, so it is possible that this will be moved.

Several WWE names have appeared in MCU shows and movies, with Dave Bautista (Batista) most notably playing Guardians of the Galaxy member Drax.

There were previously rumors that Rollins’ wife Becky Lynch was set to appear in a Marvel movie, with fans believing that an individual in a leaked set photo from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was the former Raw Women’s Champion.

Another top WWE star recently confirmed that they turned down a movie role, which you can read more about right here.
