A WWE star has been ruled out of action “indefinitely” heading into WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas on April 19 and 20.
This past weekend’s Elimination Chamber event in Toronto played host to an unsanctioned match between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.
Going into the match, the story was that Zayn shouldn’t really have been cleared for action due to what Owens had put him through in prior weeks, hence it being unsanctioned.
Owens picked up the win in the brutal match and continued to attack Zayn afterwards, with Michael Cole providing an update on Zayn’s condition during tonight’s episode of WWE Raw.
Cole said that Zayn’s spinal and nerve issues had been reaggravated at Elimination Chamber and he has been ruled out “indefinitely”.
After the match, Randy Orton – who had been injured by Owens back in November – made his return to confront Owens.
It therefore appears we’re heading to an Orton vs Owens match at WrestleMania 41, which leaves question marks over whether Zayn will even make it onto the show
We’ll keep you posted with any further updates on Zayn’s status.
