WWE has announced that a Raw star has undergone surgery for an injury and has been ruled out of action “indefinitely.”
The past couple of days, reports online have emerged regarding the status of Bron Breakker.
Breakker reportedly suffered a “serious hernia” last week, which he underwent surgery for.
The hernia reportedly occurred during the segment that opened last week’s WWE Raw when Breakker was flipping the announce table and destroying the set in frustration after what happened at Royal Rumble.
Opening tonight’s Raw, Michael Cole and Corey Graves addressed Breakker’s situation.
They didn’t specify that it was specifically a hernia, but they said he suffered an injury while training and underwent surgery.
Regarding his timeline for a return, they noted that he would be out of action “indefinitely.”
WWE had been planning to run Breakker vs Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 42 with Rollins returning from his own surgery prior to that.
At one point Breakker was set to win the Royal Rumble match and challenge CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship at Mania, but that fell through when plans got changed around to Punk facing Roman Reigns.
