The wrestling world was shocked last month by the tragic passing of STARDOM wrestler Hana Kimura. The passing came on the same week that former WWE star Shad Gaspard and wrestling journalist Larry Csonka also sadly passed away.
Last week on SmackDown, former Raw and NXT Women’s Champion Sasha Banks paid tribute to Kimura with a black armband, and we saw another tribute to the late Japanese wrestler this week on Raw.
Just before her match with Nia Jax, Kairi Sane came down to the ring with her umbrella, in which a tribute was written to her friend Hana Kimura. BT Sport’s WWE page shared the touching tribute on Twitter.
"Hana-Chan, Thank You."

Unlike with Shad Gaspard, WWE did not play a tribute to Kimura on the episode of Raw following her passing. However, this is just because Kimura did not wrestle for the company during her career, unlike Shad.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t this touching tribute that had fans talking about the match, it was a nasty botch that saw Kairi Sane cut open following a collision with the ring steps. The botch reportedly let to a WWE star stating that Jax should be fired.
